Skadoodle Privacy Policy

Overview

Skadoodle is a free-form drawing and doodling app. Your personal doodles are stored only on your device. If you choose to sign in and post to the World Gallery, some information is stored in our secure cloud database.

Data We Collect

If you do not sign in

We collect nothing. Your doodles stay on your device only.

If you sign in with Apple

Your Apple ID user identifier (an opaque string — we never see your email unless you choose to share it)
Your chosen username and profile photo
Doodles you choose to post to the World Gallery (image data and caption)
Likes you give to other doodles
Comments you post on doodles
Follow relationships with other users

How We Use Your Data

To display your profile in the World Gallery
To show your posted doodles to other users
To track likes and comments on World Gallery posts
We do not use your data for advertising
We do not sell your data to third parties

AI Features

When you tap Done after drawing, your doodle image is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate a caption and tags. Google's privacy policy applies to this processing. We do not store the image on any server for this purpose — it is sent directly from your device to Google and the result is returned immediately.

Local Storage

Your personal doodles (those you keep private) are stored locally on your device. This data is not backed up to our servers and is removed if you delete the app.

Third-Party Services

Firebase / Firestore (Google) — cloud storage for World Gallery posts, user profiles, likes, and comments
Sign in with Apple (Apple) — authentication
Gemini API (Google) — AI caption and tag generation
Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — push notifications

Push Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we store a device token to deliver notifications about likes, comments, followers, and new posts from artists you follow. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings or within the app.

Data Deletion

You can delete your World Gallery posts at any time from within the app. You can delete your entire account from Settings → Delete Account. To request full deletion of your account data, contact us at privacy@yonyc.app.

Children's Privacy

Skadoodle is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted here with a new "Last Updated" date.
