Need help with Skadoodle? We're here.
Go to the New tab. Draw on the canvas using your finger or Apple Pencil. Choose from a huge range of pen styles — pencil, ink, brush, marker, chalk, neon, spray, watercolor, calligraphy, confetti, and many more, including two-tone styles like braided rope and gradient fades. When you're done, tap Done in the top right.
Tap the layers icon to open the Layers panel. Every stroke and every stamp lives on its own layer — drag to reorder them, hide or show any layer, adjust a layer's opacity, or extract a layer as a reusable stamp. New drawing layers are created automatically as you work.
Tap the stamp icon in the toolbar to switch to Stamp Mode. Pick an emoji, add text, or bring in a photo — you can even extract just one object out of a photo and stamp it into your doodle on its own. Tap a stamp once to select it and open a menu with resize, rotate, duplicate, and delete options. Press and hold a stamp, then drag, to move it. Once a stamp is selected, you can also double-tap it to delete it, or two-finger tap it to duplicate it — quick shortcuts once it's already highlighted.
When you tap Done, Skadoodle looks at your doodle and writes a short caption and a set of tags automatically. You can edit the caption before saving — and you can tap the caption on any doodle you've saved, private or posted to the World Gallery, to rewrite it any time afterward.
Yes — tap any color to switch, or tap "+" to pick a custom color. Tap the thickness button to adjust pen size. Tap the eraser to erase. You can also set a photo or solid color as your canvas background, with its own opacity, blur, brightness, and saturation controls.
Yes — open any doodle in your private gallery and tap the re-edit icon to bring back every layer and stamp exactly as you left them. You can also watch a doodle's timelapse video, showing it drawn stroke by stroke, and share that video.
Every day has one shared subject that everyone draws. Submit your entry any time during the day — you'll see your own entry, but nobody else's, until the day ends. The next day, everyone's entries from the day before are revealed together and open for voting. Browse past winners any time from the Today tab.
After drawing, tap Done, then turn on Post to Community before saving. You'll need to sign in with Apple the first time.
Open the doodle from the World Gallery and tap the trash icon, then choose Remove from Community. It will be removed from the gallery but remain in your private collection.
Go to your Profile tab, tap any doodle in your gallery, and choose Make Banner. You can also drag the resize handle at the bottom-right of the banner to adjust its height.
This is usually a temporary issue. Try again in a moment. Make sure you have an internet connection.
